PLEASE READ WEATHER POLICY BELOW
Weather Policy
We want every customer to have an amazing day on the lake — and we’ll do our best to work with you when weather becomes a factor. That said, summer weather on Lake Murray can be unpredictable. We’ve seen plenty of days start with a bad forecast and turn out sunny and beautiful. (It really does happen all the time!)
Because of this, rescheduling or refunds due to weather will only be considered the day before or the morning of your rental, based on the most current forecast.
When we will offer to reschedule or refund:
The Weather Channel app shows a 70% or higher chance of rain lasting more than one hour
There are predictions of lightning, severe weather warnings, or high wind advisories
If rescheduling isn’t an option for you, we’ll issue a full refund
What we consider "boatable":
Cloudy skies
Light mist, sprinkles, or on-and-off showers
Quick, passing storms that clear up shortly
These conditions are a normal part of summer on the lake and do not qualify for rescheduling or refunds.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility — and we’ll always do our best to keep you safe and ensure you have a great time.
Cancellation Policy
14 days ahead of reservation- Full refund
3-13 days ahead of reservation- 50% refund
Less than 72 hours- NO REFUND
Please keep in mind, this business is our livelihood and keeping a reservation blocks other customers from being able to book. The more notice that you cannot keep your reservation, the better!
FAQ
-
Are we responsible for gas?
NO! We will not make you fill up the tank before we pick it up from you. However, if you run out of gas during your use time, you will be responsible for getting yourself more. The first tank is on us! Only certain locations that are far “up river” are subject to a delivery charge due to time and gas spent during delivery. Text us about your location if you are not sure.
-
Do I need a boating license?
NO you do not. However, we encourage those who feel comfortable driving a large pontoon to rent with us. If you do not have boating experience, we would not suggest renting a pontoon. Lake Murray is a busy lake and would not be safe for novice boaters.
-
Where do we get the pontoon?
We bring it to you! You tell us the address of your vacation rental and we will deliver the pontoon to you by water. We no longer meet at public marinas or boat ramps anymore.
-
Will you tell us how to get around?
We sure will! In addition to a brief breakdown on how to use the boat as well as safety procedures, we will give you some fun ideas of things to do on the lake to optimize your day!
-
Can we rent for multiple days in a row?
Yep! We understand if you’re vacationing here for several days you might want to just keep the pontoon overnight. We actually encourage this! Keep in mind we do have different rates for weekdays and weekends. Give us a call so we can properly invoice you! 803-575-0836.
-
Will you drive us in the boat?
Unfortunately, you have to have a Coast Guard licensed captain to drive people for money in a boat. At this time we do not offer guided tours.
